SEO Meta & Schema
The title and description a page shows in Google – the two lines a person reads before deciding whether to click – rewritten from the page itself and the searches it is really shown for. Then, once the change is live, what it did.
Open it from Studios → Content Marketing → SEO Meta & Schema.
Pick a page
A page on the site takes the page's address. With Google Search Console connected (Connections), the rail also lists Shown in Google, rarely clicked: pages with 100 or more impressions on the first two pages of results in the last 28 days and under 1% clicked. Those are the pages where a better snippet matters most.
The page is read the way Google fetches it – its title, description, headline, social tags, structured data and text. Reading it is free.
A page not live yet takes a name and what the page will offer, for writing the snippet before launch.
Today in Google
Before anything is written, the page shows:
- The result as Google sets it – the title and description cut where Google cuts them. Google measures in pixels, not characters: it shows about 580 pixels of a title and 985 of a description on desktop, so wide letters use more room than narrow ones. Each line has a bar against that width.
- What the rules find – a title or description Google cuts, a missing description, a past year, placeholders, words in capitals, the search the page is shown for most not being in it; on the page, a "noindex" that keeps it out of Google, a canonical pointing to another page, duplicate tags, missing social tags, structured data that does not parse.
- Search Console's numbers – how often the page was shown and clicked, its click rate and average position, against the 28 days before.
- What people search when Google shows it – every search with its impressions, clicks and position.
There is no score. What can be counted is counted and said plainly.
Three options
Write three options (5 credits) writes three title and description pairs, each from a different angle – the answer the page gives, a concrete detail from it, the searcher's own words. They are written only from what the page says: no invented prices, numbers, dates or claims.
Each option shows as a Google result, with its width against Google's limit, which of the page's searches it answers word for word, and what the rules find. Add searches under Also aim for to write for words the page is not shown for yet.
Start from a saved strategy to let its positioning and audiences steer the angles; the facts still come from the page. Assign to a strategy files the result under one in your library.
The tags, the card, structured data
Pick an option with Use this one. The tags are ready to paste into the
page's <head> or into your CMS's SEO fields – title, description and the
social card (Open Graph and X). Nothing is changed on your site.
When someone shares it shows the card LinkedIn, Slack and Facebook build from those tags.
Turn on Structured data to also get JSON-LD for the page's type (an article, a product, a service…). It is checked for what Google needs, filled with the page's own address and image, and any rating, review or price the page does not show is removed – markup can only describe the page. Where Google no longer shows a result type (FAQ results outside government and health sites, HowTo), it says so.
After it goes live
When the new title and description are on the site, press It's live (with the date it went live). Search Console then compares the 28 days before the change with the latest 28 days. Google's data runs about three days behind, so the full comparison is ready about a month after the change; until then the page says the window is not complete. Rankings, seasons and Google's own rewrites move these numbers too – the change is one cause among them.
Your pages lists every page written for the brand: when, which option was picked, whether it is live, and – for live pages – the click rate before and after.
In chat and for your AI team
Ask chat to "rewrite the title and description of theaicmo.com/pricing" and it runs the same tool: the page is read, Search Console's searches are added when the page is on the brand's site, and the three options come back measured the same way. The result opens here.
